LEROY — Tyler Signor fell short of his goal of qualifying for the individual state finals this season for Pine River, but still had a memorable year with a 33-14 record. “I guess I’d have to say I’ve reached my expectations,” Signor said, after helping his team win districts which would lead to a regional title. “I’ve been working a lot with (teammate) Andrew Park and I’ve been in the weight room. He taught me how to get deeper in my moves and shoot better.” Park was a state qualifier at 112 pounds. Signor was hoping to make it to individual state finals last weekend at The Palace of Auburn Hills. He didn’t go but he did lead his team to a state semifinal finish at Central Michigan University. “I just need to wrestle hard,” he said. It was a strong team season for the Bucks, who advanced to the state semifinal before falling to Hudson. “We’ve got high motivation,” Signor said.
