GIRLS BASKETBALL Central Montcalm 51, Reed City 31 REED CITY\u00a0\u00a0\u2014 \u00a0 Emily Libey led the Coyotes, who trailed 22-15 at halftime, with 16 points in this CSAA Gold game on Jan. 19. COMPETITIVE CHEER Evart, Pine River at Harrison HARRISON\u00a0\u2014 Evart was sixth and\u00a0Pine River was eighth at Saturday\u2019s Harrison Invitational in Division 4. There were 21 teams at the meet. \u201cThe teams that took first and second (Farwell and Houghton Lake) are rated as among the top six teams in the state,\u201d Evart coach Marty Pattee said. As for individuals, \u201cwe had a lot of them that did a good job,\u201d Pattee said. \u201cChasity Nichols had a very good day. She was solid in all three rounds.\u201d The Bucks had scores of 170 in Round 1, a 132 in Round 2 and a 206 in Round 3 for a 508 overall. \u201cWe did good, they beat their scores from last time,\u201d Pine River coach Emilee Crawford said. \u201cThey are improving. We have some little tweaks to make here and three.\u201d Pine River has three seniors with Vicki Moored, and Amber and Courtney Ingraham. Pine River will be at Evart on Wednesday. Action starts at 6 p.m. Evart was at Marion last Wednesday. The Wildcats took fourth place.
