REED CITY \u2013 Logan Cutler is among the wrestlers playing a key role for a very improved Reed City team this season. He wrestle at 152 pounds as a senior. He made his season debut earlier this month at the Big Rapids Invitational and he went 3-0. Cutler hasn\u2019t wrestled since eighth grade. \u201cMy family is big into wrestling so I thought I would come back,\u201d he said adding that he\u2019s been able to make the transition very smoothly. \u201cIt comes natural for me.\u201d The future is extremely bright. \u201cMy coach and I think I can place at state.\u201d Cutler said, adding that getting back into condition is the biggest challenge, more so than strategy. \u201cI try to be more physical and smarter than the other guy and not let my back hit the ground. I have to get back into conditioning.\u201d In the past, Cutler has done sports including football and baseball. Cutler likes getting into shape for wrestling and the challenges that come with it. Reed City\u2019s next match will be at home for its first 12-team Reed City Holiday Rumble with teams from all around the state coming. Wrestling will start at 9 a.m. in both the middle school and high school gyms. The Coyotes will resume Central State Activities Association action on Jan. 5 at Central Montcalm.
