REED CITY - Reed City's boys soccer team has been battling for wins this season with Aiden Mieras providing valuable senior leadership for the Coyotes. It's his fourth year of varsity soccer and he's looking for it to be his best. "I can bring the ball down the field really good," he said. "I have to work on my shots. I can definitely get it down there." The most goals Mieras has scored in one season so far has been 13. He said early in the season he was hoping to pass that mark. "It's going to be hard but I'll keep trying," he said adding the key is, "don't give up and keep your head up." The season has been a challenge for a young team. "Only time will tell," Mieras said. "We can't give up on ourselves and have to keep our heads up." Mieras also kicks off for the football team. "The farthest one I've kicked in a game is 56 yards," he said. "after soccer I go to (football practices) for about a half hour." Mieras also has been with the Reed City track team in the spring. Central State Activities Association tournament games are on tap for next week on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
