REED CITY\u00a0- Reed City continues its road journey with a matchup Friday night at Big Rapids against the arch-rival Cardinals, and the Coyotes' 5-0 record will be on the line in Central State Activities Association action. "We're getting into the meat of our schedule," Reed City coach Monty Price said. "There's a lot of wins on the schedule from our opponents. We'll have to raise our level of intensity and our level of commitment and our level of effort to match the tough road ahead of us." Big Rapids is 4-1. "It's always a great game," Price said. "Both teams are doing well. We're looking for a great night of Friday night lights. We're hoping we can come out, be sharp and play well." The Coyotes improved to 3-0 in the CSAA with a 36-21 road win at Grant on Friday. "I was very happy with the win," Price said. "I thought the kids played hard physical football. We kind of dominated from the start although the score looks closer than it appeared." Andre Jones rushed for 184 yards and three touchdowns, while Logan Straub gained 144 yards and a score and Collin Hatfield ran for 67 yards. Reed City had 530 yards rushing. Leland Yonkin was 4-of-8 in passing for 80 yards and Taylor Pelton led the defense with nine tackles. "We still have to brush up on some finer details," Price said. "Our tackling could have been better. I'm very pleased with the team effort and the bi-product, which is a win." After Friday's game, Reed City closes out the regular season with three straight home contests.
