"I was very surprised," Jones said of his award for 500 wins while giving credit to the steady stream of successful wrestlers he's had over the seasons. The\u00a0 Bucks made their yearly December weekend trip to the Marquette Invitational, which featured 23 teams. Pine River took 10th with 77 points. Top wrestlers for the Bucks were Stephens (103) in sixth, Andrew Park (112) in third, Nathan Park (119) in fifth, Fansler (130) in fourth, and Jackson (215) in fourth. "A few more matches here and there and we could have placed higher," Jones said. "If you have a couple of good matches, you get a lot more points. If you don't, you don't. "Andrew Park had an outstanding day at a tough weight. He looked good. He and Nathan Park both did a nice job." Pine River is at the St. Louis Invitational on Jan. 2 and home on Jan. 6 with Benzie Central and Frankfort.
