HART -- Evart freshman Addy Gray had a huge night in scoring 21 points and leading the Wildcats to a Division 3 victory over Mason County Central on Wednesday in Division 3 district semifinal action. The Wildcats advanced to the title game and lost to Hart. Evart had quarter leads of 11-5, 19-10 and 27-21. Gray had a triple in the first quarter but added six in the second and two in the third. She had 10 points in the fourth and was 6-of-8 in free throw shooting. Kara Henry had nine points for the Wildcats. "Mason County Central did a good job of disrupting us offensively," Evart coach Daniel Tiedt said. "Luckily, our defense kept us in it, holding them to 10 points in the first half. Addy paced us offensively like she's done all season with 21 points. "Kara Henry, being the next high scorer with nine points, also took two big charges from them that really helped stall their runs just as they were inching back into the game. A win in districts is something to be happy about, for sure. But I'm hopeful our best game is still to come."
