EVART \u2014 Evart\u2019s Garrett Johnson keeps busy between football wrestling and baseball. Right now, the Wildcat senior is focusing on a wrestling season with an Evart team which keeps developing its program. Johnson is in his second year of wrestling. \u201cLast year, I finished the season at 6-15,\u201d he said. \u201cRight now (as of Jan. 9) I already have 15 wins.\u201d Experience, Johnson said, has been the difference. He didn\u2019t have the chance for offseason wrestling due to his commitments to other sports. But he came into the season ready. \u201cThis season I think I started off pretty well,\u201d Johnson said. \u201cMy first match was (early January) against Benzie Central. I was losing going into the third period. I ended up pinning the kid. I pretty much wore him out and I could do what I needed to\u201d Johnson said his shots is where he usually tries to score the most. \u201cI\u2019m trying to work from the bottom,\u201d he said. In wrestling, it makes him tougher for other sports, Johnson said. The Wildcats will be at the\u00a0Reed City Invitational on Saturday.
