Star: Reed City's Bryson Hughes rushed for 283 yards and two touchdowns in Reed City's win over Muskegon Catholic Central

Star: Morley Stanwood's Alaina Christensen had 13 kills and 15 digs in Morley Stanwood volleyball's loss to Kent City.

Star: Evart's Cole Hopkins came off the bench after nursing a shoulder injury to rush for 114 yards and a touchdown in the second half in Evart's win over East Jordan.

Star: Reed City's Molly Bowman had two aces, 44 five kills, 37 digs

Star: Chippewa Hill's Jake O'Neil was named to all-state after placing 11th in the Division 3 state championship race with a time of 16:27.44.

Star: Reed City's Gus Rohde placed 18th overall in the Division 3 state championship race with a time of 16:36.06.

Star: Morley Stanwood's Miranda McNeil earned her third All-State recognition with a 29th place finish in the Division 3 state championship with a time of 19:43.69.

Star: Chippewa Hills' Ava Hollandsworth was 25th for the Warriors (19:42.83) in the Division 3 state meet for All-State honors

Star: Morley Stanwood's Sienna Ososki had 34 assists and 28 digs against Kent City.

Star: Evart's Preston Wallace threw for 82 yards and a touchdown and ran for 68 yards and another touchdown in Evart's win.

Final top three area teams

1-Reed City: Reed City won its district championship with a 36-7 win over Muskegon Catholic Central, rushing for 410 yards on 54 carries. RC will host Millington in the regional championship game.

2-Evart: The Wildcats took down East Jordan 35-7 to win its first district title in school history. Evart will now face Iron Mountain at Iron Mountain for the regional championship.

3-Big Rapids: The Cardinals saw their season come to an end at Whitehall in the first round of the MHSAA Playoffs.


Top three volleyball teams 

1-Morley Stanwood: Morley Stanwood fell in the district semi-finals to Kent City, 3-2.

2-Reed City: The Coyotes survived being down to six players to beat Big Rapids in the district semi-finals. They would fall to Cadillac 3-0 in the district title game.

3-Big Rapids: Big Rapids fell to Reed City in the district semi-final, losing 3-1.

Reed City boys cross country placed sixth at the MHSAA State Championship race at Michigan with a team score of 264.

Chippewa Hills girls cross country placed 20th at the MHSAA State Championship race at Michigan
