Reed City 1-3
REED CITY -- Reed City hosted a dual meet tournament on Saturday and beat Farwell 60-19. The Coyotes lost to Lake City 40-39, to Mio 51-28 and to Pine River 57-19.
With three wins each for Reed City were Bryson Hughes 145, Austin Fowler 189, Ryan Neal 285 and Anakin Andrus 112. With two wins each were Kellen Haney 160, Riley Osborn 215, Andrew Clementshaw 103 and Mason Johnson 125. With one win each were Alex Andrus 130, Mark White 152 and Aaron Boucher.
Reed City is at home this Wednesday for parents night vs Hart and Pine River.

Reed City won both matches at Cadillac on Wednesday 45-35 over Cadillac and 66-18 over St. Francis.
Double winners were Aaron Boucher 140, Mark White 152, Kellen Haney 160, Noah Morgan 189, Austin Fowler 215, Ryan Neal 285 and Andrew Clementshaw for Reed City. With one win each were Julia Hackworth 112, Anakin Andrus 119 and Jonathan Fuentes 171.
Evart 2-0
Evart wrestled up in Kingsley Wednesday night against Houghton Lake and Frankfort.
"We came away with two wins," Evart coach Ben Bryant said. "We were happy with the boys performances and the Evart pride they wrestle with. This weekend we will be in Reed City for a team tournament."

ADRIAN -- In the Michigan Girls State Wrestling Championship sponsored by the MHSAA on Sunday, Reed City's Cassie Enos placed fourth at the 168-pound weight class out of a 20 wrestler bracket.

MANTON -- Evart fell to 6-6 with this road loss on Wednesday. Addy Gray had eight points for Evart.
Friday's game at McBain was postponed because of the flu outbreak.

Free fishing days
LANSING --- Two days twice a year, families and friends can enjoy one of Michigan's premiere outdoor activities, Michigan Fishing, for free.
The 2020 Free Fishing Weekends are scheduled for winter: Feb. 15-16 and summer: June 13-14.
All fishing license fees will be waived for two days. A Recreation Passport will not be required for entry into state parks and recreation areas during Free Fishing Weekend.
Residents and out-of-state visitors may enjoy fishing on both inland and Great Lakes' waters for all species of fish. All fishing regulations will still apply.
Many locations around the state hold fun events during the weekend. Check back each year for events happening locally.
Want to know when future Free Fishing Weekends will be? The winter weekend is always the Saturday and Sunday of President's Day Weekend and the summer weekend is always the Saturday and Sunday following the first full week of June.
