EVART — A Detroit Lions Youth camp scheduled for Friday at Evart was canceled for a lack of numbers. A camp scheduled for Big Rapids over the weekend was also canceled for the same reason.
“There weren’t enough registrants so the Lions ended up canceling both of them,” Evart assistant football coach Jason O’Dell said. “It was very unfortunate. They were hoping to get 70 in each place. We had 59 last year (at Evart) and we hoped to get 70 this year. For whatever reason, folks did not get registered.”
