COMPETITIVE CHEER

Evart girls keep busy

EVART — Last week was a busy one for the Evart competitive cheer team. On Monday, Jan. 30, Evart was third at Marion. On Thursday in Marion again, Evart was fifth. The Wildcats were at Brethren on Saturday for an invitational and was fourth.

“It was a pretty good week,” Evart coach Marty Pattee said. “The girls are coming along. I think the judging is getting harder as we head to the districts. They’re trying to make a push to get teams ready for districts. The girls are determined to continue to improve. I’m excited to see what will happen at districts. We have 13 teams at districts (Feb. 18 at Holton).”
