Reed City 41, Lakeview 29

LAKEVIEW — Emily Libey scored 11 points to lead Reed City (1-1) to this non-league win on Friday. Alyssa Olds scored nine and Kamryn Myers had seven.

“I thought our defense was really good,” Reed City coach Brian Koopman said. “We rebounded the ball well. Overall, it was a good team effort and win on the road.”

Reed City will host Newaygo on Friday.

Pine River 46, Morley Stanwood 26

MORLEY  — Kierra Justin had 14 points and six rebounds, while KayLee Goodman had 11 points and Logan Powell had nine points and five rebounds in leading Pine River over Morley Stanwood in non-league action on Friday.

Julie Justin added six points and five rebounds and five assists for Pine River (2-0) over the Mohawks (1-1). Anna Lindquist had four points and eight rebounds for the Bucks.

“I thought we played really strong the first three quarters,” Pine River coach Shawn Ruppert said. “We got a lot of easy shots off the press. There’s always things we can do better, but we’re pretty happy.”

Pine River is home against Evart on Friday. Morley Stanwood is home against Hesperia in Central State Activities Association.
