STANTON —  Schuyler Smith led the Coyotes with 12 points and seven rebounds on Jan. 19 while Taylor Pelton netted 11 points, Mykel Dillard had 10 points and Andre Jones had five steals for Reed City in CSAA Gold Division action.

Pine River 67, Marion 25

LEROY  —  Mason Powell had 14 points, six assists and two steals to lead the Bucks on Jan. 19. Brad Holmes added 12 points and eight rebounds. Matthew Goodenow added 10 points and four steals and Conner Hoaglund had six points and nine rebounds.

McBain NMC 56 Pine River 46

MCBAIN  —  Mason Powell led the Bucks with 14 points while Hunter Esiline scored nine points on Friday. Matthew Goodenow had eight points.

REED CITY  —   Emily Libey led the Coyotes, who trailed 22-15 at halftime, with 16 points in this CSAA Gold game on Jan. 19.

Evart, Pine River at Harrison

HARRISON — Evart was sixth and Pine River was eighth at Saturday’s Harrison Invitational in Division 4. There were 21 teams at the meet.

“The teams that took first and second (Farwell and Houghton Lake) are rated as among the top six teams in the state,” Evart coach Marty Pattee said.

As for individuals, “we had a lot of them that did a good job,” Pattee said. “Chasity Nichols had a very good day. She was solid in all three rounds.”

The Bucks had scores of 170 in Round 1, a 132 in Round 2 and a 206 in Round 3 for a 508 overall.

“We did good, they beat their scores from last time,” Pine River coach Emilee Crawford said. “They are improving. We have some little tweaks to make here and three.”

Pine River has three seniors with Vicki Moored, and Amber and Courtney Ingraham.

Pine River will be at Evart on Wednesday. Action starts at 6 p.m.

Evart was at Marion last Wednesday. The Wildcats took fourth place.
