REED CITY — Reed City volleyball player Sidni Rushford was named all-conference and teammate Alyssa Olds was listed as honorable mention for the All-CSAA team this season.

“Sidni Rushford led our team in digs (404) and aces (61) and was second in kills (239),” coach Don Patterson said. “She was our floor leader and also led our team in passing. She is an outstanding student and teammate. Sidni is a senior and will be greatly missed.”

Olds was Reed City’s passing leader and team captain.

“Her season was cut short due to injury and we suffered without her presence,” Patterson said. “While she was on the court she led our team in passing and had she remained healthy could have led us in digs (303) and aces (38). She was a great defensive player and also a role model for our younger players. Alyssa is a senior and will be greatly missed.”

Patterson also cited two other team leaders.

“Alison Duddles led our team in kills (282) and blocks (80),” he said. “She was an intimidating presence at the net and showed great improvement over the course of the year. Alison is a sophomore and we look forward to great things from her the next two years.

“Jordyn Storch led our team in assists (741) and was third on our team in digs (310). She was an incredible athlete and fierce competitor. Jordyn is a senior and her shoes will be tough to fill.”
