EVART--Nick Robinson has been among the wrestlers for Evart's varsity team who have helped the Wildcats have a formidable squad.

Robinson placed eighth in the 215-pound class of the Evart Invitational last Saturday at the Chippewa Hills Joe Loren Memorial Invitational.

"I think I did all right for my first match," Robinson said. "The last three, I could have done better. I worked hard so I'm happy."

It's his third year of wrestling and has been his best.

"I have had more experience and I work well on my feet," Robinson said.

He took a 6-4 record out of the Chippewa Hills meet.

"I want to get better with my feet work," Robinson said. "I'd love to go to state."

The Wildcats' last action was the Chippewa Hills meet and they are idle until the new year. The first scheduled meet is a home battle on Jan. 8 against Benzie Central.

Robinson and other members of coach Ben Bryant's team are looking to peak and be at their best by district time in February.
