Pine River 56, Lakeview 49

LAKEVIEW  -- Pine River trailed after the first quarter 17-15 but came back to lead at halftime 26-23 and 42-29 after the third quarter en route to this nonleague victory on Monday.

For the Bucks, Isaiah Dennis had 18 points, eight rebounds, four assists and two blocks, while Tanner Prosch had 11 points and five rebounds; Austin Dean had nine points and three steals and Lukas Fisher had eight points and five steals.
“It was another Monday, another flat start,” Pine River coach Brian Goodenow said. “It was a very quiet gym and we struggled to generate our own energy in the first half. We challenged them to get back to a wounded dog mentality at halftime and they responded. They had no answer for Isaiah, but it was great to see some other guys step up and be aggressive on the offensive ends especially Tanner Prosch.”

Pine River is 6-4 overall and 3-3 in the Highland.

Pine River is home on Thursday against Lake City.
