"We're extremely young this year," Reed City coach Roger Steig said. "We are doing a little different style of wrestling. Our kids wrestled tough. We're emphasizing we're going to be physical."

Mark White, a Reed City senior, hopes to return to the lineup within two weeks. He's currently nursing an ankle injury. He's a four-year wrestler. He's at 152.

"I like the upper body stuff and I try to outmuscle them," he said.

The Coyotes wrestled at Saturday's Big Rapids Invitational.

"I don't know where we'll stand since we're beat up," Steig said. "But we were beat up going into tonight. We'll have to see. It will be one day at a time."
