EAST JORDAN -- Evart competed in the Division 4 district at East Jordan on Friday and finished fourth out of 13 teams. Only the top four teams advanced to the regionals and Evart ended its season.
"The top seven teams were really close going into the first round," Evart coach Marty Pattee said. "It was really close. Only a few points separated them. Munising did a good job as district champion. We had season high scores in round 1 and 3, so I was proud of my girls. It was a little struggle in round 2. But they're young. We only lose two seniors. We should be strong next year."
