Reed City volleyball fall at Cadillac

REED CITY — Reed City’s volleyball team was 0-4 on Saturday at Cadillac.

“I thought we improved a little bit as the day went on,” Reed City coach Don Patterson said. “We’re still a young team it seems.”

The Coyotes lost 25-6, 25-3 to Cadillac, 25-10, 25-15 to Midland, 25-23, 25-16 to Hopkins and 25-17, 25-22 to Ludington.

For the Coyotes, Alyssa Olds had one ace and 25 digs; Meghan Borst eight kills and 16 digs; Maddie Brown 11 digs and one ace; Jordyn Storch, three aces, 11 digs and 36 assists; Sidni Rushford three kills and 10 digs; Madelin Mora seven kills and four digs; Allison Obermier nine kills, two aces and four digs; Alexis Van Eck two aces and five digs; Kierra Barker two aces and two digs; and Alison Duddles added nine kills.

Reed City played Fremont at home on Sept. 13 in Central State Activities Gold Division action.

“We didn’t play all that well,” Patterson said. “There were stretches we played well.”

Reed City lost 25-17, 25-12, 25-13.

Olds had eight digs; Borst three kills, 11 digs and one ace; Brown five digs and an ace; Storch one kill, 12 assists, nine digs and an ace, Rushford four kills and five digs; Mora one kill, one block; Obermeier one block; VanEck five digs, Barker four digs; and Duddles three kills and a block.

Reed City play at Grant on Tuesday and is at the Glen Lake Invitational on Saturday.
