Reed City stays perfect with win over Wildcats

LAKEVIEW — The Reed City football team forced a fumble inside its own 5-yard line to preserve a 21-14 victory over Lakeview on Friday.

The Wildcats were driving for the tying score when they turned the ball over with 25 seconds remaining.

Reed City is now 5-0 on the year.

The Coyotes’ Jordan Straub scored twice, on an 8-yard run and a 14-yard pass. He also rushed for 129 yards. The other score for Reed City came on a 22-yard run by Josh Saez.

Jake Vincent ledthe defensive effort for the Coyotes with 11 tackles. Jordan Rolston and Justin Danneels each tallied eight stops.

Reed City is in action Friday when it hosts Chippewa Hills.
