REED CITY – It was a huge week for coach Chris Hansen and his Reed City boys golf team.

“We got rained out at our CSAA match at Moss Ridge on Tuesday (May 3),” Hanson said. “Tuesday was a rough day as the teams played for about 2 1/2 hours but the persistent rain and the cold temps were just a bit too much, so we are making it up Tuesday (May 10) at Clear Lake.

“Friday we participated at the Lake City/Terry Thompson Invitational at Misaukee golf course. Fischer Morrison shot a 1 under par  70. He finally broke through and got that under par round. He played really well, he was getting off the tee into the right positions and making the putts. Those two things are a big part of shooting low numbers in golf. I was happy to see all his work pay off. He was overall medalist.”

Reed City won overall for the day.

“Also contributing for the team, Michael Perri finished fourth with an 87,” Hanson said. “Evan Pullen and Ty Kailing had a 91 and Hunter McConnell a 92.”
