Reed City girls improving, but fall to Fremont
REED CITY – Reed City volleyball coach Don Patterson can see impressive improvement from his team.
But Fremont was still able to pull out a 25-16, 25-19, 26-24 Central State Activities Association Gold Division win over the host Coyotes on Tuesday, Sept. 20.
“I think we’re playing better,” Reed City coach Don Patterson said.
“Our setters are starting to do a better job getting the ball where they need to do. Defensively, we’re starting to make ground. We need to serve a little tougher and be a little more consistent. It’s starting to come.”
After winning the first game, Fremont exploded to an 18-8 lead in the second. Katelynn Holmes had a kill and Kyleigh Weck an ace to keep Reed City close, trailing 23-17. But the Packers were able to pull it out.
