By John Raffel Herald Review Sports Writer CADILLAC \u2014 Cadillac edged Reed City 8-7 in eight innings in the first game of a non-league doubleheader on Thursday. Sidni Rushford took the loss in the first game, striking out five and walking none. She had three hits while Jordyn Storch, Kamryn Myers and Bailey Brummel, Maddie Morgan and Mady Brown had two apiece. Kiera Barker had one. In the second game, an 11-4 Cadillac win, Morgan went the first four innings and allowed eight runs on six hits in taking the loss. Rushford went two innings. Rushford had her fourth home run of the season. Myers had two hits. Storch, Morgan, Devin Willard and Brown had one hit apiece. "I think (Thursday night) was a good night to see where we're at," Reed City coach Roger Steig said. White Cloud 6-4, Reed City 5-15 White Cloud defeated Reed City 6-5 in the first game of a doubleheader on May 23. \\Morgan went the first two innings and had four runs on three hits while striking out three and walking one. Rushford took the loss, going the last five innings and allowing two runs on three hits and walking two. Rushford had two hits while Storch, Morgan, Devin Willard and Bailey Brummel had one apiece. Storch had a three-run home run in the top of the seventh to tie the game. It was her 10th of the season to tie a school record. Reed City won the second game 15-4. Rushford was the winning pitcher, allowing four runs in three innings. Morgan went the last two innings, striking out one and walking none. Willard had three hits while Storch, Morgan, Rushford, Kierra Barker and Maddy Brown had one hit apiece. Reed City (18-17) was home with Morley Stanwood on Tuesday. The Coyotes plays McBain on Saturday in a district semifinal game at Mason County Central.
