Reed City boys take seventh place

AUBURN — Reed City’s boys track team had a strong performance Friday at Bay City Western and took seventh place.

Nate Fasbender won the pole vault (14-6). Jon Green was second in the 100 meters (11.55) and fifth in the 200 meters (23.46).

“He had a great day,” Reed City coach Vikki Michell said.

Brad Marek was eighth in the 300 hurdles (44.03). Evan Skiver was fourth in the shot put (46-0 ½). T.J. Patterson was fourth (131-2) and Green fifth (129-11) in the discus.

Zach Borst was second in the high jump (6-1).

Reed City is at the Alma Invitational Saturday.

April 28 at Tri County

Reed City’s teams performed at Tri County against Newaygo on April 28. Final scores were not available.

Reed City’s boys notched first places from Jon Green in the 100 meters (11.38), and 200 meters (23.09), the 4x200 relay team of Brad Marek, Dylan Langlois, Walter Austin and Brendan Marsh (1:45.84), Evan Skiver in the shot put (43-2), Green in the discus (137-7) and Nate Fasbender (14-6) in the pole vault and long jump (17-8 1/2).

Taking firsts for the girls were Keylee Aemisegger in the high jump (4-8) and Hanna Price in the 100 hurdles (16.9).
