Reed City boys soccer team starts practices this week

REED CITY — Reed City soccer coach Matt Webster was working with members of his team on conditioning Monday while getting ready for the official practice season that opens today,

The season opens Aug. 24 at the Leland Invitational.

Webster admitted hoping for more numbers during the preseason but is eager to work with his team when the season starts with Wednesday practice.

He’s anticipating on 20 for the varsity. There will not be a junior varsity team.

The Coyotes, after Leland, will have road games Aug. 26 at Tri County, Aug. 27 at Newaygo, Aug. 29 at Lakeview and Sept. 3 at Big Rapids. They’ll have home games Sept. 4 with Tri County, Sept. 7 with Benzie Central and Sept. 9 with Hart.
