REED CITY — It’s been a good summer for Reed City’s Adam Kehr.

The Coyote wrestler, who will be a senior next season, has been busy on the summer wrestling scene. He’s been participating in the open wrestling room sessions at the Coyote wrestling room.

Kehr medaled at Meijer State Games recently at 167 at second and was first last weekend at Climax Scott.

Ryan Steig, Reed City assistant wrestling coach, said Kehr will be going to a tournament in October that will be scouted by college programs.

Kehr was third at Border Wars Nationals.

He qualified for a national tournament in September.

“All the tournaments I go to are Border Wars,” he said.

Kehr works out at the Reed City wrestling room over the summer, It’s open twice a week.

Kehrn was been wrestling at 160 He was at 140 last year and was a state qualifier and one match away from placing.

Kehr will be a senior this season. He likes the competition he’s getting this summer

“It’s getting me more mat time and ready for individual tournaments next year,” he said. “(The competition) was tough. They make you work for everything I get. I’m learning new things and doing things I need to start doing and things that will help me when I get to the state

tournament.”
