Pritchard set to have huge senior season with Evart

EVART— Cody Pritchard is set to begin the senior season of what’s been a unique sports career at Evart.

Pritchard will be playing football again this fall. He’s also in basketball during winters and in track and baseball during the spring. He’s among the top athletes in all four sports.

A few days prior to the first day of Evart’s football practice on Aug. 8, Pritchard showed his skills as a fisherman, winning various divisions in an area fishing contest.

But now he and his Evart teammates will focus on Friday’s home season opener with White Cloud.

Pritchard will be at running back offensively and in various positions on defense.

His final senior season began with Evart’s midnight madness. Summer football helps him get ready for the grueling nine-week schedule, he said.

Pritchard, in 2016, is looking to “be a leader and step up my game,” he said. “We’re going to be good this year. Last year our defense was really good. This year, our defense will be really good.”

As a running back, Pritchard is looking forward to running behind an experienced line.
