LEROY — Pine River’s wrestling squad finished fifth out of 20 teams on Saturday in the Marquette Invitational.
“We might have taken fourth place one time in our best year there,” Pine River coach Tim Jones said. “Last year we were seventh. Winning it would be nice. It was a good tournament for us.”
Tony Moore was first at 119, while Nate Park at 103 and Chase Morrison at heavyweight were second, Josh Jackson at 215 and Jordan Stone at 112 were third. Tyler McCurry was fifth at 180 and Jeff Gross sixth at 171.
The Bucks will be at the St. Louis tournament Jan. 3.
