Moore looking to boost Reed City’s lines

REED CITY — Noah Moore is a returning senior for Reed City at left tackle on offense and right tackle on defense and is hoping to be a contributor on the line for the Coyotes this season.

“I’m strong, I can push people around,” he said, adding on defense “I’m strong enough to hold a gap.”

Moore was close to 100 percent in his summer work.

“I’ll be quicker definitely,” he said. “Overall, I’m smarter and know what to look for.”

Moore and his teammates kicked off the preseason with Midnight Madness practices.

“It was fun being able to be here in front of the community and under the lights,” Moore said.

He was in competition for playing time during preseason.

“I think we can be a strong team,” he said. “Everybody wants to be here and we put in a lot of work this summer.”

Reed City, 1-0, opens defense of its five straight Central State Activities Association titles on Friday at home against Newaygo.
