Jones has big meet at Kent City

KENT CITY — Reed City, Evart and Pine River track teams competed on Friday at the Kent City Invitational.

For the Reed City boys, Phillip Jones was third in the 100 meters (11.87 seconds) and fifth in the long jump (18-4 ¼).

Calvin Rohde was seventh in the 400 meters (55.07). Joseph Shewan was sixth in the 300-meter hurdles (47.23).

The Coyotes 4x100 relay team of Nicholas Douglass, Jackson Price, Noah Jones and Phillip Jones (45.93) took first place.

Austin Fowler was sixth in the discus (109-9).

For the Pine River boys, Elijah Lewis was second in the 400 meters (51.09), fourth in the 100-meters (11.94), fourth in the 200 meters (23.62) and seventh in the long jump (18 1 1/2).

For the Evart boys, Zolan Long tied for third in the pole vault (11-0). Nathan Woods was fifth (10:15.79) in the 3,200-meter run and Kyle Stokes was ninth in the 100 meters (12.15).

The Reed City girls were led by Abbigail Kiaunis, first in the 1,600 meters (5:40.38). Emily Libey was seventh in the 100-meter dash (14.20). Libey was third in the long jump (14-10).

The foursome of Paige Williams, Faith Woods, Carmen Guy and Libey was third in the 4x100-meter relay (54.63). Hannah Boza was third in the discus (97-6).

The Evart girls were led by McKenzie VanBuren, who was third in 14.07 seconds and

Kendra Montague, who was sixth in the 400 meters (1:07.77).

The foursome of Angela Gibbons, Macey Wallace, McKenzie VanBuren and Kaylee Ladd was fourth in the 4x100 meter relay (54.63). Kelci Elder was fourth in the shot put (32-3)

Pine River was led by Anselma Barnett and Payton Fulmerhouser, sixth and seventh (6:11.77, 6:12.50) in the 1,600-meter run. The foursome of Abigail Dennis, Kendra Montague, Rebecca Horan and Grace Beebe was sixth (4:41.14). Ally Bannon was fourth in the high jump (4-8).
