Ice fishing remains steady
EVART - Bill Eising reports from the Osceola County area that ice anglers are continuing to have success.
The recent warmup could have a future impact on the ice but colder nights keep the ice in good shape Eising indicated.
"It's still going strong," Eisign said. "You have to pick your lake. We're still catching fish. We went out (Monday morning) and caught our limit. An old gentleman came out 3 or 4 times a week and we showed him the hole where there's fish. He got his limit (Sunday and Monday). It was old style fishing pole, all wood handmade.
"We have plenty of ice. But if it keeps up like this by the weekend it's starting to get treacherous with the way you get in. I figure two weeks at the max with the weather we've got. It's supposed to be like this."
It could be a huge weekend.
"The fishing is good" Eising said. "It won't get anything but better until the ice is gone."
