REED CITY — Senior Hannah Boza has finished another competitive season for Reed City as a thrower on the track team, and had many high moments.

Among the biggest ones came in the discus where she had a season record throw of 101 feet, 5 inches for second place. She finished first in two Central State Activities Association Gold Division meets and was third in the league meet on May 3 with a throw of 94-2 for third place.

Boza’s personal records in the two events go back to 2017 when she had a throw of 30- 6 14 for sixth in the CSAA Gold meet and threw the discus 104-11 at Kent City for first place, which she cites as a major highlight.

She was competitive throughout the year but noted during the season it was a goal to make it to the state meet.

Boza’s best event was the discus.

“You just have to work hard and practice hard,” she said.

The shot put may not have been her best event, but Boza was still happy with how she performed in it during the season.
