REED CITY — Senior Carmen Guy is in her fourth season with Reed City track and is slated to be among the top point producers for the Coyotes.

“Last year, we placed pretty well,” Guy recalled. “Our 4x200 and 4x100 relay team placed well in regionals. I would definitely like to try to compete further and reach the state meet this year.”

The best times on the relays, with Guy on the teams, has been a 1:49 time for the 4x200 and 49.53 for the 4x100.

Guy will also be running the sprints.

“I hope we keep training harder and we should be there,” Guy said.

The Coyotes are scheduled to be home with Evart on Thursday. They are practicing on a new track.

“I haven’t had a home meet before,” Guy said. “It’s great that I’ll be able to compete at home in my last year.”

The Coyotes are also home against Grant, Central Montcalm and Fremont on Tuesday.
