Evart sophomore confident of success
EVART -- Tabby Turley is confident the Evart volleyball team will be recording winning success in the second half of the season.
Recently, the Wildcats lost 3-0 to arch-rival Pine River.
“We played a decent game” Turley said. “We got down and once one person gets down we all do. We played well (against Pine River).”
Turley, a sophomore, is in her second varsity season and said she’s improved “a lot” from last season.
“My passing has gotten better,” she said, adding that her main focus for improvement is “watching where the hitters arms are going so I can get a better pass to my setter.”
The volleyball team, under new coach Jayme Maddern, continues to improve, Turley notes, adding that staying positive and not getting down remains a key to success.
The Wildcats have one more week of regular season action. District action starts next week.
“We want to get a win and not get down on each other,” Turley said.
