Evart softball team sweeps Reed City

REED CITY — The Local Area Teams softball league continued its season on Wednesday evening, with Reed City and Evart’s girls squaring off for a doubleheader at RC’s softball field.

After the twinbill of games, it was the Wildcats who walked away with a pair of victories.

Evart took the first game by a final score of 13-4, compiling a dozen hits along the way in the winning effort.

Reed City’s leading hitter in game one was Hayden Cutler, who had an RBI-double in defeat.

The Wildcats were victorious once again in the second game, this time taking down the Coyotes 6-1 and compiling seven hits in the win.

Reed City put up two hits in the defeat, one coming off the bat of Payton Enos, and the other was supplied by Deseray Conklin.

Evart improves to 4-0 overall, while Reed City drops to 2-4 following Wednesday’s action.
