EVART - When the cross country season starts this fall, Kinkade Dubreuil is set to be an outstanding runner for Evart's boys. He's coming off his junior cross country and track seasons for Evart

Its been a busy summer of running, biking and working out in general Dubreuil said.

"We have been doing workouts in Evart and we just started," he said. "Coach (Kevin) Mills just sent me a workout packet for running in the summer."

If there had been a track season, Dubreuil would have probably run the 1,600 and 3,200 meters, plus the 4x800 relay. He had two previous seasons of varsity track and tried to be competitive with a certain amount of success.

"I enjoyed talking to my friends, hanging out and having fun," he said.

Dubreuil expected to be very competitive during the spring season.

"I was hoping to get quite a few first places," he said. "A lot of times I'll get second. I think I only got first twice before."

Dubreuil was set to be his team's top distance runner. He works extensively on his own.

Last season in cross country, he ran a PR of 17:00.4 in the regional for 11th. He placed 74th at the state meet in 17:29.3

In 2019 outdoor track and field, Dubreuil had a personal record of 5:03.36 in the 1,600-meter run and 10:57.56 in the 3,200 meters.
