EVART —  Zac Parshall is among the Evart seniors being counted upon by the Wildcats to make contributions to this year’s team football squad.

Parshall (6-1, 175) will be at defensive end and on the offensive line. It’s his second year on the varsity and he said he’ll play on the offensive line “wherever they want me.”

The Wildcats, after consecutive playoff seasons, were 2-7 last season. It was obviously not the record Parshall and his teammates would have preferred. But Parshall was the second leading tackler on defense.

He stayed busy during the offseason, and made as many football activities as he could. He indicated he has improved on quickness.

“I’m a pretty quick guy,” he said.

Parshall has been focusing on improving his technique and getting into football shape.

It’s a new season and Parshall and his teammates are off to a 1-0 start. They have their home opener Thursday with Harrison

“I like his year’s team,” he said.”I think we mesh together better as a team.”

Parshall is also encouraged with the team’s quickness.

“I think we have a very athletic team,” he said. “We just have to improve as much as we can.”
