EVART — Chris Imhoff is looking to be a true threat for the Evart Wildcats on both sides of the football this season.

Imhoff (5-9, 180), a senior running back and linebacker, is in his second varsity season. He was on a 2-7 team last season and Imhoff is confident the Wildcats can turn around their fortunes this fall.

He was confident in his linebacking performance last year and his year is playing fullback for the first time on varsity.

“I’m excited,” he said. “I’m ready to put the head down and play ball.”

As a fullback on the Evart offense, Imhoff is looking to focus on both blocking and running. He’s confident in all aspects of that position.

As a linebacker, among Imhoff’s duties will be to “make sure everyone is in position,” he said.

Imhoff has confidence in his team’s defense.

“We’re physical,” he said. “We have smart defensive backs.”

During the summer, Imhoff kept active in sports like football and baseball. He’s looking to play a key role on his football team this fall.

Imhoff is confidence his team can have a successful season Evart (1-0) plays home with Harrison Friday.

“We had only four or five seniors last year,” he recalled. “We have a lot more experience this year.”
