HARRISON – Evart enters the playoffs at 8-1 following Friday’s win at Harrison 41-26 against the 2-7 Hornets to finish out the regular season.

Evart was up 7-6 after the first quarter, 21-20 at halftime and 35-20 after three quarters.

Cole Hopkins had 23 carries for 255 yards and four touchdowns. Jake Ladd had two carries for 57 yards and a touchdown. Dakobe White had one carry for 33 yards and a score. Preston Wallace was 9-of-14 for 140 yards. Marcel White had four catches for 49 yards. Ladd had four catches for 87.

Defensively, Jaxon Craven had 18 tackles while Cole Hopkins had 17 tackles plus two sacks and an interception. Tanner Graber had 12 tackles and a sack. Ladd had 11 tackles.

“I thought our offense played really, really well,” Evart coach Pat Craven said. “We had almost 500 yards of total offense. Other than the first possession of the game we scored on every possession after that. We really ran the ball quite effectively against Harrison.”

Evart will find out on Sunday night who its opponent will be for the first round of the playoffs.
