Evart junior having another strong season at libero

EVART — Danielle Beasley saw action on the Evart varsity volleyball team as a sophomore and is looking to use that experience for a strong junior season.

She is again at libero this year.

“I’m definitely more confident and I’m very comfortable with my team players,” Beasley said. “I’ve learned a lot this year from my coaches.”

The Wildcats have struggled for wins this season with such challenges as serve receive in various matches.

“We just get down on ourselves and we need to pick it up as a team,” Beasley said after a recent loss to Manistee. “We’ve been playing really good.”

To play well each match, “we need to communicate with each other,” Beasley said. “I like hitting a lot. I hit it pretty well. I hit it hard sometimes. I need to move my feet more to get through the passes.”

Communication could be the key for more wins, she added.

The Wildcats have a busy upcoming slate.

Evart is at Mesick on Thursday.
