Meanwhile, Manton proved to be too much for Evart in a 3-0 Highland Conference volleyball victory on Tuesday.
It was 25-6, 25-10, 25-12.
“Manton is very good, but they’re young,” Evart coach Katie Nostrant said. “They don’t have any seniors. We played together sometimes but not at other times.”
“We did really well,” Grace Pritchard said. “We started off with a different rotation tonight. It got us in a different mindset because we were a little confused. We got together and started working hard and more as a team.”
It’s Pritchard’s first year on the varsity. She said she wasn’t able to play last year.”
“It’s been going very well,” she said. “I’m proud of us working together as a team. We’re doing good this year.”
Pritchard is an outside hitter and backup setter.
“My strength is hitting really hard,” she said. “I have some trouble snapping and following through.
As a setter. I’m working hard at positioning the ball in various places.”
“The team is looking fantastic,” Nostrant said. “We have to bring it out to the games.”
“We have to keep getting better and keep our energy up,’ Pritchard said.
