McKenzie Kimball had three kills for Evart while Allyssa Witbeck, Mikayla Wallace, Kamryn Struble and Loraine Foster had one kill apiece.

“We have some work to do,” Nostrant said.

Manistee improved its record to 2-5.

“It was a good all-round performance,” Manistee coach Lacey Hudson said. “We did a good job in the front row hitting. I was excited to be able to get some of the girls off the bench and into the game. We were competitive.”
