“Most of the kids ran their best times of the year,” said Evart coach Andy Eichelberger. “They ran very well and were very focused. In Allendale, the weather was beautiful. It was a little on the cool side and good for running, no wind and a fairly flat course with a lot of turns. It was a good day.”
The boys will run Saturday morning at MIS.
“They’re ranked fifth so we’re hoping to place,” Eichelberger said. “We also finished fifth last year. We’ll practice 4 to 5 each day and will leave Friday to go down there.“
Last season at state, Zinger was third in 16:06.6, Hodges 17th in 16:47.9, Hammer 18th in 17:42.7 and Tuttle 103rd in 18:43.3.
