EVART -- Evart finished the season at 4-5 and players such as senior running back Nolan Rohen played a key role in whatever successes the team had.

Evart has to win to finish at 5-4 and be eligible for a playoff spot.

Speed and power have been his strengths as a running back, Rohen indicated. On a kickoff return against Beal City, he had some long runs to help his team get into scoring position. A 60-yarder is among his longest.

The key to being effective on kickoff returns, Rohen said, is "keep your eye on the ball and when you're catching the ball, be ready to take off. I've come close to breaking a few."

As a pass catcher, he feels he has good moves to get away from the defense.

The Wildcats started out 3-0 and Rohen indicated the week two win against Pine River was the best effort.

To keep winning, "we have to come in as a team with all 11 to the ball on defense and our linemen have to block," he said late in the season.

Rohn also plays baseball but said football is his favorite sport.

"I just like hitting," he said.
