Boys coach Dennis Peacock and his counterpart on the girls team, Todd Scott, have seen many athletes having success with colleges for track and cross country programs in the past year. Scott's son, Santana, a former cross country state champion, is currently at the University of Detroit-Mercy.
"Brooke I think is going to do really well at college," Todd Scott said. "She's predominately a sprinter, but has also proven herself at cross country. She qualified for state in the 100 meter and the 4 by 1. She qualified for state (in cross country) and improved her time."
