Star: Evart's Preston Wallace led the rally back against McBain by throwing for 303 yards and five touchdowns, completing 18 of 27 passes.

Star: Morley Stanwood's Alaina Christensen had 20 kills, nine aces and 34 digs in the Central Montcalm Invitational.

Star: Reed City's Bryson Hughes led the Coyotes to a win against Montague, rushing for 186 yards and three touchdowns on 27 attempts.

Star: Morley Stanwood's Miranda McNeil finished fourth (19:24.84) to qualify as an individual for the state meet.

Star: Reed City's Kyleigh Weck had three aces, 11 kills, 36 digs and six blocks in three games at a quad against Pine River, Evart and McBain.

Star: Evart's Dakobe White was Preston Wallace's go to receiver, catching four passes for 108 yards and three touchdowns against McBain.

Star: Reed City's Jeff Ondrus had one yard less than his counterpart Bryson Hughes, rushing for 185 yards and one touchdown.

Star:  Evart's Kyrah Gray led the team in kills with five on the evening, she also scored five blocks and five digs against Beal City.

Star: Big Rapids'Riley Vennix led the Cardinals in receiving with 126 yards and a touchdown off of eight receptions.

Star: Reed City's Gus Rohde was sixth (16:39.48) at the regional meet to qualify for the state meet.

Top three football teams 

1-Reed City: Reed City handled Montague in the first round of the MHSAA Playoffs, winning 44-5. The Coyotes would rush for 464 yards on the evening. This week, Muskegon Catholic Central will come to Reed City after beating Kent City 42-14.

2-Evart: The Wildcats faced a tough challenge in McBain, rallying to win 31-22 off a strong second half performance and the arm of quarterback Preston Wallace. This week they will have East Jordan come to town after they beat Frankfort 6-0 in overtime.

3-Big Rapids: The Cardinals saw their season come to an end at Whitehall, falling 42-12 against the No. 3 team in Division 4. Wil Strickler would pass for 329 yards and two touchdowns. The Cardinals end the season at 7-3 and a share of the CSAA Gold title.

Top three volleyball teams 

1-Morley Stanwood: Morley Stanwood fell in the finals to Cadillac at the Central Montcalm Invitational.

2-Reed City: The Coyotes beat Evart and Pine River before falling to McBain in a quad they hosted on Thursday.

3-Big Rapids: Big Rapids has been on a bye heading into the district tournament.

Other top teams 

Reed City boys cross country advanced to the state meet as a team for the first time since 1984, finishing second in the regional meet, only behind Hart.

Chippewa Hills girls cross country advanced to the state meet after finishing third in the regional meet with a score of 110.
