EVART — Cyana Dellar has enjoyed a strong senior season so far for the Evart girls basketball team, which is off to a 4-3 start.

It’s her third varsity season.

“Last season, we started to execute better and communicate better by the end of the year,” Dellar said.

She’s been playing center for the Wildcats at 5-foot-6 inches, and is the second tallest player on the team.

“My role is to score inside and rebound,” she said. “I have to be strong. It takes a lot of practice and execution of our post moves.”

Dellar has been working at being an effective rebounder and keeping the opposition from getting the second and third shots.

“You have to be aggressive,” she said.

As a senior, Dellar considers herself to be aggressive and not afraid to mix it up.

“We should have a winning (season) after we get used to each other,” Dellar said.

The Wildcats are home Friday with Marion.
