REED CITY -- It's her senior season and Taylor Harrison is ready to be a key member again for the Reed City girls basketball team.

She's played varsity four seasons. An ankle sprain suffered during a scrimmage plagued her throughout the season last year, although she only missed two games

"It's been bothering me a little bit but I don't really think about it," she said.

Harrison also runs cross country and plays soccer, but got in some basketball work during the summer.

Her role will probably stay the same as a shooting guard, Harrison said, but perhaps involve even more shooting. She feels she can shoot from anywhere but perhaps more inside off the drive.

"My favorite is defense," Harrison said. "I need to stay with (her opponent) and be a nag."

The Coyotes have a new coach with Tim Beilfuss.

The season starts on Dec. 3.

"I'm just excited to play," Harrison said. "We've got quite a few people back."
