REED CITY — Competitive cheer season has ended for local teams that are already looking forward to next year.

Evart coach Marty Pattee didn’t have a senior this season and is expecting all of her girls to be back.

“I haven’t had very many seniors,” Pattee said. “Last year, I only had one. I knew there was a chance I may not have one this year. It does get me excited for next year. Next year, I will have some seniors.”

Pattee said her girls will be going to gymnastics camp during the summer.

“I’m proud of how far they came in one year and how well they did,” Pattee said. “It’s a great feeling that I get them all back next year.”

Reed City cheer team members were: Brooke Allen, Krysta Austin, Emily Baker, Carissa Chrisple, Atlanta Deuel, Lizzi Dornton, Lauryn Erickson, Elisa Fasbender, MaKayla Fender, Chelsey Gogolowski, Taylor Jones, Meghan Kailing, Liz McCreey, Caitlin Payne and Dakota Stapleton.

Erickson is a senior while Austin, Chrisple, Deuel, Fasbender, Fender, Jones and Stapleton are juniors. The others are freshmen.

Members of her team this year were seniors April Agar and Renee Cowley, sophomore Allie Peterson and freshmen Andrea Gross, Aubree Andrew, Maya Mozden, Bethany Brinks, Sarah Zimmerman, Kaylee Hunt, Hunter Fauble and Lily Menzel.
